Collaboration in Science: Highlights from Jos Malda's Keynote Lecture at Utrecht Science Week
On October 3, during Utrecht Science Week, Jos Malda, Professor of Biofabrication in Translational Regenerative Medicine, delivered an inspiring keynote lecture on the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration in science. As part of his role at the Regenerative Medicine Center Utrecht (RMCU), Malda discussed how teamwork can drive innovation and creativity within research projects, as well as foster the professional development of researchers.
During the lecture, he shared practical and successful examples developed by his team, highlighting the lessons learned at various levels of collaboration. Following his presentation, Malda engaged in a discussion with special guests Chien Nguyen, Eva van Ingen, PhD, and Paulina Nunez Bernal, moderated by Stephan van Duin. Together, they explored the challenges and opportunities of "team science," encouraging an open dialogue with the audience.
